Teaching Haudenosaunee Languages
In the Spring of 2018, the SNLC held a series of professional development workshops for language teachers at Six Nations. Conducted as part of a series in conjunction with I. L. Thomas school, the workshops focused on instructional strategies for second-language acquisition, and were facilitated by presenters from ACTFL, as well as community member Jeremy Green.
Subsequent to this, the SNLC commissioned Jeremy to write a manual to accompany the report, also by Jeremy Green. Teaching Haudenosaunee Languages is a manual of methods, approaches, techniques, strategies, and activities that are effective for teaching Haudenosaunee languages.
